Chapter 285
"I was distracted because she kept boosting the other people's morale. If it
weren't for her, | wouldn't have lost," Jimmy whined.
Jimmy had lost Brigham with his train of thought. He stared at Jimmy blankly without any response for a long
while.
"That's right!"
"It's all her fault!"
"She's dragging all of us down!"
"You knew that Black Widow was no easy opponent, so why didn't you stop us? Are you just going to comfortably
watch as we march to our deaths?"
"That's right! If you stopped us, we wouldn't get injured at all."
Everyone was staring in awe at the ability of Jimmy's clan members to twist the truth as they poured all the
bland pointed all their fingers at Yolanda.

Yolanda didn't even bother responding to shameless people like them.
It wasn't beneficial to try to talk sense into humans who did not think like normal humans. All it would do was
invoke rage.
There was chaos in that little storage room at that moment.
"Shut up!" Nigel roared coldly.
"Are you not ashamed for blaming a little girl for your lack of skills?" Nigel could not take it anymore.
"Looks like the Eternal Clan doesn't have any successors. | wonder what your master, Xavier, would say when he
sees how irresponsible all of you are."
Jimmy and the other Eternal Clan members were offended by Nigel's words. Still, because of Nigel's social status,
they didn't dare to refute them other than portraying their displeasure through their eyes.
"We can't hold the door any longer, Grandpa!" Brigham exclaimed suddenly.
There were loud banging noises on the other side of the door. Instantly, the storage room door, which was
thinner than usual to begin with, was kicked open from the outside.
The Hansens all had a sense of hopelessness on their faces. The Eternal Clan members who had been so self-
righteously accusing Yolanda now had ashen faces that were palpable with fear.
"Stop hiding. Cout and die!"
Black Widow smugly ordered her assassins to rush into the storage room. These assassins held all kinds of
weapons in their hands, and their eyes held viciousness as they zoomed swiftly into the room. Their target was
Nigel.
If they could successfully kill Nigel, their mission would be accomplished. "Grandpa, no!"
Brigham leaped in front of Nigel, trying to shield him from the attacks of the assassins.
"Run, Brigham!"
Nigel remained calm and steadfast even in dangerous situations like this, but his slightly trembling hands
betrayed his true feelings. He was clearly very nervous as well.
"Adam, Aaron, lead your men. Protect Brigham and Ms. Henderson and charge out with them. Leave me."
Nigel, who had lived a long life, no longer feared death. However, he couldn't bring the two young ones down
with him to die in this place.
He shouldn't have brought them along to this negotiation. He didn't expect the Serpent Alliance to disregard the
rules like this.
"No, Grandpa, don't say that! We'll charge out together!"
Brigham locked his hand onto Nigel's arms in a death grip. He was not letting go.
The Hansen family's bodyguards were engaged in a brawl with the Serpent Alliance assassins.
"Haha! You can stop showing your love for each other now. Don't rush; one by one, all of you will reunite after
death!"
Black Widow sauntered toward them with a sinister smile on her face. She wanted to finish Nigel off herself, but
a shadow whizzed in between her and Nigel at an unusually fast speed.
Black Widow stopped walking and narrowed her eyes.
She saw Yolanda, who did not wield any weapon, standing before her and blocking her way.
"I commend your bravery, little girl. However, it's no use volunteering to die now!"
"Yolanda!" Brigham felt helpless. He couldn't bear to look in the direction of the door.
Jimmy and the rest looked at Yolanda with contempt, mocking her for volunteering to die.
"If you want to die so badly, letgrant your wish."
