“I know”. I nodded. “And | can handle it, but | hate the distance | feel between us right now. If you don’t want me
to go to my dad's, then turn the car around and takehome. | don’t want there to be this tension hanging
over us. | hate it”.
“That's on me”. He kissed the top of my head. “But you're going to your dad’s, and you're going to meet with
and have the best twith your family. But first | want you to climb into the back seat”.

“You heard me”. He smirked. “Get in the back seat”.
