At 9 a.m., the garage door opened, and a red sedan drove out. Behind the wheel sat Lucy.
James placed the tablet on the table with an icy expression. "Do you have anything else to say? You were the one
driving."
"No! No, it wasn't me!" Lucy shook her head violently, her voice trembling with panic.
"It was you! You setup!" Lucy shrieked, pointing furiously at Charlotte. She had never imagined Charlotte

my car. And now you're framingto cover your tracks!"
James's sharp ears picked up on the implication in her words. His eyes darkened as he stared at Lucy. "What do
you mean by that? Explain yourself!"
Lucy smirked, her tone laced with bitterness. "Charlotte, you started it first, so don't blme for being
ruthless."
Lucy paused for a moment, then turned to James with a sharp tone. "James, I'm sure you don't know this yet, but
Charlotte hates Sarah to the core. She's practically out for her blood. She's been working with Vivian against
Sarah for a while now. Don't tellyou haven't noticed her intentions!"
Mrs. Chancer's expression turned conflicted as she looked between them, unsure of whose side to take.
