Chapter 394
Sarah, clearly uninterested in any small talk, pulled a stack of documents from her bag and pushed
them across the table toward Charlotte.
Her tone was icy. "Take a look."
"What's this?" Charlotte's fingers trembled as she swallowed hard. She cautiously opened the file,
pulling out a few photos. They were surveillance stills of her driving Lucy's car. On top of the stack
was a recording device. With growing apprehension, Charlotte pressed play.
"It was Charlotte who approached Michael, asking for his help. Not just him-our whole family got
dragged into it because he agreed... First, she made Michael locate Mr. Larson's car and stage the
crash. Then she had him arrange for a neurological assessment at the hospital. With that document,
the Larsons had no choice but to accept their loss. | thought it would end there, but her target
wasn't the Larsons-it was you..."
The raspy, authoritative voice of Mr. Luther described the events in meticulous detail, almost as if
reliving that day.

Charlotte paled. Her hands shook so badly she nearly spilled her coffee. Her voice trembled as she stammered, "I
don't know what you're talking about. This is all lies-slander!"
Sarah leaned back lazily in her chair, her gaze cold and mocking. "Charlotte, go ahead and take a closer look at
everything in that file. There's more than just this recording. After you've reviewed it all, do you still plan to lie to
me?"
"I don't know where you got these, but they're fake! This has nothing to do with me!" Charlotte shot to her feet,
her voice rising with desperation.
Sarah's expression remained indifferent as she propped her head against her hand, her tone dripping with
disdain. "If you're not planning to admit anything, I'll just hand everything over to the police. Whether they
believe you or not is none of my concern."
Charlotte's heart pounded as panic washed over her. She knew if Sarah turned these files over to the authorities,
it would be the end of her. Everything she had worked for would be ruined.
Her eyes reddened as she locked gazes with Sarah. "What do you want?"
Sarah smirked. "What do you think | want? I'm after the truth. Tellwas everything that happened that day
planned by Vivian?"
Charlotte sat frozen for a long tbefore she finally whispered, "I can't tell you."
Her strength seemed to drain from her body as she slumped back into her chair. She couldn't bring herself to
answer. She had seen Vivian's methods firsthand.
Compared to her wrath, prison might almost seem merciful.
"If you don't want to talk, that's fine. I'll just hand all of this over. Then it won't bequestioning
you anymore," Sarah said in a steady, cold voice.
"Wait!" Charlotte reached out to stop her. If Sarah really handed everything to the police, she'd be
done for.
Sarah's gaze was piercing, her tone icy. "Then talk."
Charlotte exhaled deeply, her breath shaky. "It's no use. Even if | tell you, it won't matter. There's
no evidence-nothing that can prove it. All the evidence you've found so far points toas the
culprit.”
She hesitated for a moment before adding cautiously, "If I tell you, will you letoff?"
