Chapter 430
So that was a refusal?
Sarah chuckled. "That's fine. You don't have to draw if you don't want to. But in that case, I'll have to take a little
trip to your home."
She gestured toward the door. "And of course, I'll be bringing them along."
David sucked in a sharp breath. His grip tightened around the pen, and after a long hesitation, he finally placed
the tip on the paper. But he didn't know where to start.
"Start with your family," Sarah prompted gently.
After a moment's pause, David drew three figures—a woman, a man, and a little girl.
"Now, add a house, a large tree, and a car on the road," Sarah instructed, guiding him step by step.
He still had no idea what Sarah was trying to accomplish, but he had already realized that refusal was pointless.
Resigned, he followed her directions, sketching a house, a road, and a car.
As Sarah examined the drawing, a rare softness flickered in her gaze when she looked at the house and the
people. But the moment her eyes landed on the car, that gentleness vanished, replaced by something sharp and
dangerous.
She picked up the paper, studying it intently. "You have a younger sister?"
Then, placing the drawing back in front of him, she pointed at the car. “Tell me—- who is this?"
David stiffened. "I don't know. You toldto draw it."

"No." Sarah's voice was firm. "You do know."
She pulled out a pocket watch and held it before him. It was a simple yet highly effective hypnosis technique-one
of the best methods for interrogation.
Her voice grew slow and rhythmic as the watch swayed gently back and forth. Under its steady motion, David's
resistance crumbled, and his eyes fluttered shut. Thirty minutes later, Sarah stepped out of the room, having
obtained exactly what she needed.
Melvin emerged from the next room. Of course, he had been listening the entire time.
"It's Vivian," Sarah said, almost in disbelief. "It really was her."
She had suspected Vivian from the start-but she hadn't expected her instincts to be so dead on.
Melvin's expression darkened. "She just won't stop, will she?" His jaw clenched as he turned back to the man in
the room. "What do we do with him?"
"Send him back." Sarah knew David was just another pawn-bought and used. Her only goal now was to unsettle
Vivian-to make her pay the price.
The next morning, the first thing Zachary did when he woke up was check if Sarah had arrived.
For the past two days, Sarah had been taking good care of him. Zachary relished her presence so much that he
wished he never had to leave the hospital-just so he could see her every day.
But before Sarah arrived today, an unexpected visitor shattered his expectations.
Vivian.
"Zachary, | cto see you." She
approached his bed with a concerned

Zachary hadn't anticipated her showing up. He glanced at the time-Sarah was due to arrive soon. He needed to
get rid of this unwelcguest before then.
"There's no need for you to trouble yourself over this," he said coolly. "Besides, until | figure out who was behind
this, I'd prefer to keep things quiet."
As he spoke, he deliberately studied her reaction.
"The one behind it?" Vivian repeated, feigning confusion as she looked at him.
Zachary nodded. “Grandpa only

A flicker of something sharp crossed Vivian's eyes. She held his gaze, feigning ignorance. "Someone was after
you? Why would anyone want to kill you?"
Of course, she knew exactly what Zachary was doing. He was testing her.
