Chapter 432
Sarah turned and left the hospital, her eyes cold and unreadable.
In the Courtroom.
Sarah and Melvin sat in the plaintiff's seats, watching as Charlotte took her place in the defendant's chair. She
remained completely at ease, her expression almost amused, as if she were attending a casual business meeting
rather than a criminal trial.
Sarah didn't understand why Charlotte looked so unfazed, but she knew one thing for certain the Chancer family
must have paid a hefty price to try and shield her from the consequences of her actions.
The judge's voice rang out. "Plaintiff's attorney, you may question the witness."
The lawyer sitting beside Sarah stood and approached Kelvin Luther, who had just completed his oath.
"Mr. Luther," the attorney began, "is it true that Miss Charlotte approached your son, Michael Luther, at Luther
Enterprises and instructed him to set up and rape my client?"
Kelvin cleared his throat. "Yes, that's correct. It was Charlotte."
Despite his damning testimony, Charlotte showed no signs of panic.
Sarah shifted her gaze toward Mrs. Chancer and James. Both remained unnervingly calm, accepting the
proceedings with practiced composure. Yet deep inside, Sarah couldn't shake an unsettling feeling.
Her goal had never been just to make Charlotte plead guilty. While Charlotte was undeniably involved, she was
merely a pawn in a much bigger game. There was someone else hiding behind her, someone who had yet to be
exposed-Vivian.
Charlotte's lack of reaction was suspicious in itself.

judge, and spoke.
"Your Honor, we argue that Miss Sanders, the plaintiff, is my client's ex-husband's former wife, making her
inherently biased in this case. Furthermore, the true perpetrator of this crhas already turned themselves in.
However, Miss Sanders refuses to accept this and insists on blaming my client. We request that the person who
confessed to the crbe brought forward."
The judge nodded. "Granted."
Sarah frowned slightly and turned toward the courtroom doors. The moment they opened, she was met with an
unexpected sight.
Lucy entered, her face devoid of emotion, her presence carrying a chilling aura of resignation, as if she had
already accepted her fate.
She walked straight to the witness stand.
The lawyer stepped toward Lucy, his voice steady. "Lucy, after the incident, you were taken into police custody,
correct?"
"es."
"The police arrested you because they found your car at the crscene. Was it you who drove the car there?"
Lucy hesitated for a moment before answering, "Yes, | drove it there."
The lawyer pressed further. “Then why, during your last interrogation, did you claim that my client was the one
who drove that car?"

Sarah, however, noticed something-the way Lucy's eyes kept flickering toward Mrs. Chancer, who sat quietly in
the audience.
Sarah knew Lucy wouldn't have confessed willingly. Not unless Mrs. Chancer had forced her to.
Mrs. Chancer was a strange woman.

James watched the scene unfold with a cold expression. But when he caught sight of his mother's face-her
expression soft, almost pleased-something inside him twisted.
He found it hard to accept.
