Chapter 450
"Hiring Miss Sanders as Mia's psychologist was my decision. | trust her ability. Do you have a problem with that?"
Zachary's voice was sharp, his patience wearing thin. Seeing Mia in this state, he had no energy for pleasantries
with Vivian.
His tone softened slightly, but his words carried an unmistakable weight.
"Vivian, letput it this way. Suppose | walk down a road and trip over a pit. Maybe | consider filling it, but for
one reason or another, | don't. But if | walk that road again, and that spit still tripsup... | won't just fill it.
I'll dig it wide open. I'll clear out every rotten branch, every piece of decay lurking inside, and only then will |
bury it for good."
Vivian swallowed hard. "I... don't know what you're trying to say."
"You don't have to understand. Just remember it."
The car soon pulled up in front of the Sanders’ residence.
Zachary's assistant got out and knocked on the door while Zachary immediately called Sarah.
"Mia's having an episode. Save her."
Before he could even hang up, Sarah had already ended the call.
Not even a minute later, she opened the door.
Zachary didn't hesitate he lifted Mia in his arms and carried her inside. She
curled up against his chest, trembling violently.
Once inside, Sarah ignored Vivian entirely, focusing solely on Mia.
"Put her on the couch," she instructed.
Zachary gently laid Mia down.

She was still shaking, her head lowered, muttering in a frail, broken voice, "Don't eat me... don't eat me..."
Sarah frowned, repeating the words in her mind.
Don't eat me?
Who was she afraid of?
Was she speaking literally? Or was there another meaning?
Without wasting a second, Sarah rushed to her bedroom, retrieved some
medication, and poured a glass of water.
She knelt beside Mia, carefully helping her take the pills.
Minutes passed.
Mia's trembling gradually eased, though she still curled into herself.
Then, for the first tsince she had arrived, she looked up her tear-filled eyes locking onto Sarah.
Without a word, she reached out, grasping Sarah's hand.
And then, silently, she began to cry.
Zachary and Sarah were both puzzled, but Vivian's expression turned visibly tense.
Sarah gently stroked Mia's back, speaking softly. "It's okay, Mia. No one is going to eat you."
She placed a pillow in Mia's arms, then pulled out a blanket and wrapped it tightly around her. Lowering the room
temperature slightly, she focused on making Mia feel as safe as possible.
Vivian and Zachary watched as Sarah carefully tended to Mia.
Only when Mia finally stopped crying
did Sarah let out a Yeo of rélief.

Sarah's tone was calm but firm. "She's extremely shaken right now. What exactly happened to her?"
What had she been through? What had terrified her so deeply?
Zachary shook his head. "By the t| got word, she was already at the university gates, and her condition was
already serious."
"You don't know where she was before that?" Sarah pressed.
"We're investigating. She disappeared for hours."
Just then, Zachary's assistant entered, handing him a tablet with surveillance footage.

"And the van itself?" Zachary's voice was dangerously cold.
The assistant shook his head. "It vanished on the South Ring Road. The license plate was a fake. We haven't
been able to trace it."
