Chapter 484
"And what if | did? Your mouth was spewing filth, so | simply helped you wash it out. Now, kindly get lost."
"You f*¥*king-!"
The man's face contorted with rage as he raised his hand, ready to strike.
His arm cut through the air with force, the sound of wind trailing behind it. It was so sudden that Sarah barely
had tto react. Instinctively, she squeezed her eyes shut, bracing for impact.
But the expected pain never came.
Instead, a sharp, agonized scream rang out.
"Letgo! Who the hell are you?!"
Sarah's eyes snapped open.
James had seized the man's wrist mid-air, twisting it back with ruthless precision.
The man's arm bent unnaturally, like a twisted rope, his face contorted in pain.
"And since when did the Fishers start running their mouths like this?" James said icily. "I'll make sure to ask your
father myself in a few days.
"Now get lost!"
The man, now realizing that James knew his father personally, instantly lost all his bravado and scrambled away
without another word.
James turned back to Sarah, his sharp expression softening.

Sarah's face remained as cold and distant as ever.
"I'm fine."
"Don't act tough. | know what's happening with Melvin and the Sanders Group. | can help you."
"We don't need your help," she replied coolly.
James studied her, the way she held herself untouchable, unwavering.
The more she pushed him away, the more he found her adorable.
Stubborn, proud, unwilling to yield-even when the odds were against her. For sreason, it made his heart stir.
"Sarah, there's no need to be so stubborn. | know your family needs support," James said casually. "As it
happens, our warehouses still have a batch of fine wine we don't need.
"Once the gala is over, I'll have it delivered to you.
"At the very least, it'll buy you stime."
James paused, his gaze flickering toward Zachary in the distance before speaking again.
"If you don't accept my help, | doubt you'll find another wine supplier. You know what the Wilsons are capable of.
And as for Zachary..."
He didn't finish the sentence, but the implication was clear. Zachary and Vivian were practically engaged. Under
these circumstances, there was no way he would go out of his way to help the Sanders family.
Sarah felt a sharp pang in her chest at his words.
"James!" she snapped. "And what about you? Do you think you're any better? Wasn't it your wife and your sister
who hurtthe most? And you... just standing by and doing nothing... That's even more despicable!
"Don't act like you're doing this out of kindness. | don't need it. | don't need your pity or your charity!"
James felt a sting deep in his heart.
Sarah, guarded like a hedgehog, covered in spikes.
"Don't be like this, Sarah," he said softly.
"Don't callSarah!" Her voice was sharp with unmistakable loathing. "Do | need
to remind you what our relationship is now?"
"| just wanted to help you," James said, his voice quieter this time.

Her tone was firm, final.
She turned and walked away without looking back, wanting nothing more than to
put distance between them.
Finding another quiet corner, she sat down again-only to notice that the
whispers around her hadn't stopped.
People were still talking about her.
She sighed and picked up another glass of wine.
It didn't matter where she went.
The scrutiny followed her everywhere.
