manager headquarters has sent."
"Why not involve the police? They're breaking the law," Sarah asked.
Melvin gave a bitter smile. "Many of them worked alongside your uncle when the factory was just starting. It
wouldn't look good for the company's reputation to bring in authorities."
He looked at her intently. "I'm planning to go there myself. While I'm gone, you can oversee the Pine Mist Island
project."

All across the city, people were discussing Zachary and Vivian's engagement. She couldn't bear to hear more.
"West Ridge is nothing like here," Melvin cautioned. "It's remote, traditional, and the intebarely works. The
