Chapter 618
"Manager Sullivan, | need to talk to you," Sarah said, her voice steady.
Manager Sullivan forced a smile as he opened the door. "Cin."
Sarah sat down across from him and dropped her handbag on the floor. "Let's get straight to the point. I know
exactly who you're working for, and what your boss is trying to do."
Sullivan clenched his fists, forcing a bitter smile. "Miss Sanders, | don't know what you're talking about. What
boss? | only work for the Sanders family. You hold the largest share of Sanders stock, so naturally, | work for
you."
"Isn't that a bit self-righteous?" Sarah asked coolly. "Your daughter went abroad last year, didn't she? | heard
she's attending a prestigious university. How did you afford that kind of education?"
Manager Sullivan grew agitated. "I saved for years. It's completely normal to send my daughter abroad. Besides,
even if my salary wasn't enough, there's my wife's income."
Sarah tossed a brown paper bag on the desk. "From what | know, your wife was diagnosed with a uterine tumor
two years ago. She was given months to live. Then last year, a remarkable surgeon cto the hospital,
operated, and saved her life. Someone paid the entire medical bill. So, Manager Sullivan, are you still not going
to tell the truth?"

"What truth do you want, Miss Sanders? What do you want to hear? Everything I've said is true. I've worked
alongside your father. I've never wronged the Sanders family," Sullivan responded firmly.
"And the superstitions? The equipment issues? How do you explain those?" Sarah pressed.
Manager Sullivan sighed. "Miss Sanders, do you plan to hand Sanders Corp over to Melvin?"
"| considered it, but my cousin refused," Sarah said seriously.
"You don't have the saura your father had," Sullivan remarked, studying her closely.
Sarah smiled faintly, leaned in close to his ear and whispered something before standing to leave.
Inside the gambling den, Charlie clutched the money tightly. If the meeting ended now, the manager might
demand it back. After all he'd gone through to get this money, he wouldn't let it slip away.
He'd rather gamble, win back what he'd lost, and pay them later.
Charlie rushed to the gambling den, where people immediately approached him. "Back again? Got money to pay
your debts?"
Charlie ignored them. "I'm here to gamble! I'll pay you back after | win. This amount isn't enough."
They looked to their boss, who nodded approval. With that, they let Charlie in.
