Chapter 644
Charlie finally got it-Manager Sullivan was forcing him to take on this task. He gritted his teeth and determinedly
agreed, "Manager, I'll do it."
Manager Sullivan smiled approvingly, "That's the spirit! Good employees like you are what this factory needs.
Don't worry, the higher-ups won't let your efforts go unrewarded. If you pull this off, you could be looking at a
bonus of several thousand."
Charlie nodded, "Tonight, then?"
Manager Sullivan's expression grew serious as he nodded back, "Yes, tonight."
That afternoon, Charlie clocked out and went straight to find Zachary. He couldn't go back to the old gambling
den-they had made a mess last tand were probably blacklisted. As for the money he owed, Charlie didn't
care anymore. After all, they had won a lot last tonly to have it stolen, which he figured squared things. Still,
that didn't stop him from wanting to gamble again.
Just a few days later, he found Zachary and even brought what he considered a fine cigar.
As for the cigars Zachary preferred, Charlie had never even heard of them, let alone knew where to buy them.

"Zach, | didn't do well last time. Let's try a different gambling den this time? | promise I'll listen to you, and |
won't keep winning."
Zachary had been thinking he wouldn't be able to see Charlie because of the gambling den incident, but now the
opportunity had quite literally walked right up to him. "Sure."
That very evening, Charlie took Zachary to the most southern part of West Ridge to a pig slaughterhouse. As
they approached the entrance, they were greeted by the harrowing screams of pigs being slaughtered, followed
by a pungent stench- the place was filled with pig feces from the pens.
"Zach, this is the second biggest gambling den in West Ridge. It's even safer than the last one we went to. Do
you know why?" Charlie asked.
Zachary smiled wryly. The pig screams masked the excited shouts of gamblers effectively, and the filthy, stinky
environment meant that any inspectors wouldn't scrutinize too closely. It was an unspoken rule among everyone.
Behind the slaughterhouse, they discovered that one of the warehouses had been converted into a gambling
den.
Following Charlie inside, the cacophony of cursing gamblers filled Zachary's ears. Despite having spent a few
days in such an atmosphere before, he still hadn't grown accustomed to it.
