Chapter 388

Sarah's thoughts were completely consumed by this matter. "Alright," she replied, “but I'll need to

take it withfirst. I'll bring it back in a few days."

"Thank you, Miss," the manager said gratefully.

At the Reynolds Corporation building, after informing the receptionist of her arrival, Sarah sat in

the waiting area for Zachary. Unlike her usual urgency, she decided to take her time. Her mind was

a mess, unsure of how to approach her questions or even where to start.

Barely five minutes later, Zachary hurried out of the elevator. The administrative staff nearby

exchanged meaningful glances, clearly intrigued by someone important enough to have Zachary

cdown personally.

As they walked together, an icy silence hung between them. Zachary eventually broke it. "Why are

you here all of a sudden?"

"1 need to ask you something," Sarah replied coolly.

She followed him to his office, but before they could close the door, a familiar voice called out.

"Zach, why'd you leave the meeting so abruptly? Mr. Robinson is still waiting," Vivian said as she

appeared in the hallway.

When Vivian saw Sarah, she froze momentarily, then forced a smile. "Miss Sanders, it's you?"

Sarah glanced at her with a raised brow. Calmly, she said, "Miss Vivian, why wouldn't it be me? This is the

Reynolds Corporation, and | cto see Zachary. Do | need to get your permission first?"

Vivian's face turned visibly tense. She hadn't expected Sarah to be so sharp- tongued.

Zachary, who had been standing quietly, gave Vivian a cold look. "Go back to the meeting. I'll explain to Mr.

Robinson"

Vivian's forced smile faltered further, but she nodded. "Alright," she said reluctantly before turning and heading

back to the meeting room.

Inside Zachary's office, Sarah settled onto the sofa. "Mr. Reynolds, if you're busy with your meeting, feel free to

finish it first. | can wait," she offered generously.

In truth, she needed a moment to gather her thoughts and figure out how to phrase her questions.

Zachary poured her a cup of coffee and placed it in front of her. "That's not necessary. You can go ahead."

Shaking her head, Sarah replied, "I'd prefer a moment alone first.”

Zachary seemed to understand and nodded. "Take your time. I'll be back shortly."

With that, he left, leaving Sarah alone in the spacious office.

The Star of Roselle was Roselle's final masterpiece, crafted four years ago. But why would something from four

years ago have been purchased by Zachary?

And why did she have absolutely no memory of it?

Cartier's system wouldn't make a mistake, and she was certain the "Mr. Reynolds" mentioned by the staff was

indeed Zachary.

Could it be that she and Zachary had met four years ago?

Sarah slowly stood, scanning her surroundings. This was an imposing office, exuding authority.

Her gaze fell on a framed photo on the desk—a bright, radiant smile. Her smile.

Her cheeks immediately flushed red. Then her eyes wandered to the computer monitor, where the

wallpaper was... also her.

Just as her thoughts began to spin, Zachary returned.

He walked over and sat across from her. Before he could say anything, Sarah pulled the bracelet

from her bag, placed it firmly on the table, and got straight to the point.

"Mr. Reynolds, do you recognize this bracelet?"

Zachary's eyes fixed on the bracelet, his expression tightening. After a moment of silence, he forced

a faint smile. "It's a beautiful bracelet. What about it?"

"Zachary," Sarah's tone sharpened, her piercing gaze unwavering. "Don't tellyou don't

remember giving this bracelet to me."
