Her bedroom window was covered by thick curtains, shielding her from the
outside world. But the moment she heard the sound, an uneasy feeling crept up her spine.
With trembling hands, she reached for the curtain and yanked it open.

A shadowy figure floated outside the window, drifting up and down as if suspended in midair.
Her vision blurred for a second, and the sheer terror made her head spin. She nearly blacked out.
"Anne! Look!" she shrieked, shaking the older woman awake.
