“I went to pick up Adrian in advance. Ruben happened to be there, so we went out with him to play for a while.

You don’t have to pick him up; we will have dinner outside.

You can also spend stwith your brother, Tristan.” Emily admitted that she deliberately said the latter

part of the sentence because she wanted to make Ruben angry. After all, Ruben wanted Stella to be his sister-in-

law.

Hearing Emily’s voice on the phone, Ruben felt a little unhappy. Even if he and RK were fighting, after all, they

were blood brothers. He was quite satisfied with his sister-in-law.

“Well, you should take Adrian hearlier.”

Stella hung up the phone after giving her instructions. She knew what Emily was worried about, but she believed

she and Tristan sent Adrian to school, Tristan said that he would pick him up after work. Now that Adrian had

“Hello, Brother Tristan.”

“Well, Stella, what's the matter?” Tristan immediately picked up the phone when he saw it was Stella. After all,

Stella rarely took the initiative to call him.

“Well, Little Rian was picked up by Emily in advance, so | just wanted to let you know.”

Tristan felt the eyes around him and immediately withdrew his excited expression. He said something to Stella on

the phone and hung up.

Stella knew she should slowly relax and accept Tristan; otherwise, it would be unfair to him. After she had

promised him that she would give him a chance, she decided to accept it gradually. She remembered that there

were two best ways to forget someone: one was time, and the other was finding a new joy.

“Hello?” Ruben saw that the call was from RK and remembered that he had tricked him. He didn’t want to pick it

up, but when he thought about how miserable it would be if he didn’t, he answered.

“I didn’t expect you to dare to pick up my call.” RK grabbed the steering wheel with one hand and made the call

with the other as he drove toward Adrian's school.

“Why wouldn’t | dare to answer your call?” Hearing RK’s words, Ruben immediately retorted. Seeing Emily and

Adrian looking at him, Ruben smiled embarrassedly.

“Is that so?” RK was furious. When he thought of Ruben, his dear brother, he was truly looking for trouble for no

reason. He hadn't seen Stella for a few days.

“Humph, by the way, Rene, your son is here with me. Do you want to cand play with us?” Ruben had just

seen Adrian and immediately thought of selling him out. He thought that this way, Rene wouldn't find trouble

with him.

“Adrian? Why is he there? | thought he hadn't finished school yet.” Hearing Ruben’s words, RK didn’t stop the

car. He didn’t believe that Ruben could take Adrian away; after all, Stella was very strict.

“It’s your woman's best friend who picked up Little Rian from school. We're at Sky High Square now. Believe it or

not.” Ruben hung up the phone after saying that, confident that RK would certainly be there soon.

RK thought of Emily, and he immediately turned the car around and went to Sky High Square.

“Uncle, is it Dad?” Adrian looked at Ruben and asked. He hadn't seen him for a long tand seemed to miss

“Yes, your father will be here soon.” Ruben rubbed Adrian's soft hair and told him.

“Ruben, are you going to RK to take Little Rian away?” Emily thought of the man and becangry at the

thought of what he had done to Stella.

“Look at Rene. If he wants to take him away, | can’t stop him.” Ruben raised his eyebrows and looked at Emily.

“I won't let him take Little Rian away,” Emily said harshly, glaring at Ruben. She even wrapped Adrian in her

arms protectively.

Soon, RK arrived at Ruben’s location.

“RK, | won't let you take Little Rian away.”

Emily looked at RK nervously. She knew his intentions. She had intended to take Little Rian with her just now, but

she stopped because of Ruben. Adrian also expressed that he wanted to see RK, so Emily didn’t leave.

“I will play with Adrian for a while and then send him back later.” RK looked at the protective Emily with a frown.

“Who knows if you will send him back or not? | don’t believe you.” If Stella knew that she had given Adrian to RK,

she would certainly be furious.

“Adrian, can you play withfor a while? | will send you back later, okay?”

RK ignored Emily and squatted down to look at Adrian. Adrian looked at RK and nodded, believing that RK would

send him back.

“Aunt, Little Rian will be back soon. You don’t have to worry,” Adrian reassured Emily, pulling her hand.

“Emily, you don’t have to worry; | am still here. If Adrian is abducted, you can pushout,” Ruben said, looking

at Emily. Although he had been teasing RK, he was his younger brother after all. He wanted the family of three to

be together.

“Where are you going?”

Emily glared at Ruben. If it weren't for him, RK wouldn't have clooking for her.

“I will certainly send Little Rian back before eight.” RK looked at his watch and found that it was only five o'clock.

“Aunt, don’t worry. Dad won't do such a stupid thing.” Adrian took Emily’s hand and shook it, letting her know

she should feel assured. Emily remembered that RK had regained his memory, so he would not do those things.

In the end, she compromised.

“They are gone. You can go shopping with me.”

Ruben looked at Emily.

“Humph, I'm going back.”

Emily looked at Ruben and realized that she had seen him as her Prince Charming in the past. She felt truly

blind.

“Go back now. If you meet Stella, she will ask you where Little Rian is. How will you explain it to her?” Ruben

looked at Emily and found that sometimes this woman was very naive.

“Alright, let's go shopping.” Ruben held Emily's hand as he spoke.

Ruben pulled Emily to a crowded place.

Thinking of Ruben, who had been wearing a mask, hat, and sunglasses since he got out of the car, she felt that
