Chapter 377

After the charity auction ended, Sarah waited at the entrance while Melvin went to get the car from

the parking garage.

The bright lights at St. Ritz's entrance were almost blinding. Just as she was about to step out,

someone called her name.

Charlotte stood before Sarah, stroking her belly with a malicious smile. "I'm pregnant. | wonder if

you know about this?"

Sarah looked at her curiously, slowly approaching Charlotte and reaching toward her stomach.

Charlotte jumped back, startled. "What are you doing?"

Sarah smiled coldly. "Everyone in East Coast knows you're flaunting your pregnancy, but I'm more

interested in the misdeeds you've been trying to hide - ones that I'll eventually expose."

"What are you talking about?" Charlotte flinched.

"Whether it's what happened at the stables or at the Luthers, you think you've found your perfect scapegoat. You

believe that carrying James's child means he'll protect you at any cost. But don't forget the Chancers are

nobodies in East Coast's society."

Charlotte's eyes widened, her composure cracking. "Sarah, are you threatening me?"

"Threatening? No, just warning you not to celebrate too early. Lucy may be in detention, and the Chancers might

not even try to save her. | wonder if James knows you're the real mastermind? Either way, I'll expose you."

Sarah's eyes reflected an icy coldness, like ancient glaciers.

Charlotte's facade crumbled like a broken mask. Her face twisted as she spat back defiantly, "Sarah, let's see if

you last long enough to do that."

Before Charlotte could say more, Melvin pulled up in the car. Sarah got in without looking back, leaving Charlotte

fuming with nowhere to direct her anger.

In the car, Melvin said, "The Luthers won't reveal who's behind it. My people have been asking for ages."

Sarah found it strange too - what leverage did Charlotte have that made the Luthers protect her?

They all consistently blamed Lucy, but Sarah was confident about what she'd heard - it was definitely Charlotte's

voice.

And after their conversation at the entrance, it only confirmed that Charlotte was the one there that day.

On the way back, Vivian sat in Zachary's car - it was his grandfather's request, one he dared not

refuse.

A heavy silence filled the car. Vivian's head throbbed as she thought about the auction. After all her

careful preparation, she'd ended up benefiting others and likely left a poor impression on Mr.

Anderson.

Thinking back to the scene, Vivian had to admit Sarah was a formidable opponent, making such

quick judgments in that situation.

However, what bothered her more was why Zachary hadn't helped her, despite being right there.

"Zachary, you clearly understood what was happening with the religious portrait. Why didn't you

warn me? You must have thought of a solution. Why didn't you help?"

Zachary smiled, keeping his eyes on the road, a hint of disdain in his expression. "Weren't you

always so confident about your auction piece? | assumed you had everything under control. Besides,

wasn't it all resolved in the end?"

Vivian laughed bitterly. "Have you forgotten? With the Wilson and Reynolds families working

together now, we're all in this mess together."
