Chapter 522
Sydney smiled innocently, as if none of yesterday's events had ever happened.
Sarah frowned. "Grandor Theatre?"
Why there again?
The last tMia had an accident, it happened at Grandor Theatre, and they never found the real culprit.
Sydney beamed. “That's right! Mr. Ferguson's performances are legendary. So, are you coming? Aunt insisted on
getting these tickets for you—she really wanted you to join us."
Sarah had never been to Grandor Theatre before, but with everything going on with Tina, she had been meaning
to check it out.
Not just to review the surveillance footage.
She wanted to see what kind of act Sydney was playing, too.
Sydney's eyes flashed with excitement. "The show starts at four. Farewell My Love you're in for a treat."
She clapped her hands, then pulled Sarah toward the closet. "Go get changed! Wear something nice. Or better
yet, lethelp you pick something out."
Like she owned the place, Sydney strode straight into Sarah's walk-in closet.
Rows of wardrobes lined the walls, and in the center stood glass cases displaying jewelry.
Sarah didn't miss the look in her eyes-the barely concealed envy.
The wardrobes were filled with custom-made gowns, all personally ordered by Melvin.

the finest materials.
She quickly masked her jealousy, putting on an exaggerated smile. "Oh! That dress looks nice!"
But her gaze kept flicking back to the gowns.
Sarah smirked, then casually tossed the dress aside and reached for a gown instead.
Sydney's smile faltered.
"I'll help you!" she said quickly, rushing forward before Sarah could refuse.
It was a soft pink silk gown, embroidered with delicate floral patterns. The color made her look effortlessly
elegant-graceful yet pure. Perfect for an evening at the theatre.
Sydney's father was a failure, living off the White family. He was addicted to gambling, and their household
barely scraped by under the Whites' reluctant support.
Compared to Sarah's wardrobe, Sydney's monthly shopping sprees were limited to small boutique brands, with
the occasional designer piece. The only luxury items she owned were the few hand-me-downs from Old Lady
White.
Sarah finished her look with matching shoes and a designer handbag. As a final touch, she slid a pearl-and-
diamond bracelet onto her wrist.
Sydney's eyes went wide, unable to hide her reaction.
She had spent so much effort dressing up today, even wearing her mother's necklace, just so that when she
finally saw Melvin, she would outshine Sarah.
But now-
Sarah had completely crushed her.
Her face burned with resentment.
She refused to accept this.
"Oh, Sarah, this brooch is gorgeous!"
Sydney's eyes were glued to the diamond brooch displayed inside the glass case.
Sarah held back a sneer, keeping her
expression light. 105? My cousin

Sarah's lips curled into a small, knowing smile. She tilted her head slightly, as if offering comfort.
"Oh, | know. Melvin really does dote

"Mhm," Sarah hummed, her tone casual. "Melvin said he's planning to buy it for me."
She lifted a hand, gesturing as if holding something. "They say it's the size of a pigeon egg."
Sydney's pupils shrank.
A diamond that big? She'd never even seen one in person before!
Sarah's smile widened slightly.
Ah... so easy to read.
