Without looking back, Sarah turned and left, quickly packing up her things to head home.

"Oh, Marianne, you're still here? | thought you'd gone halready," Sarah greeted in surprise.
Marianne wiped her hands on the apron tied around her waist and smiled. "The soup's not ready yet, just needs
a few more minutes. | was actually thinking about making that salad you like so much."
Sarah grinned. "Is someone else picking up Taylor today?" She knew Marianne usually left at six sharp to pick up
her grandchild.
Marianne headed back into the kitchen as she replied, "My husband's back, so | get a little break these days."
Hearing that, Sarah's gossip radar instantly lit up. She followed after her, teasing with a playful wink. "Then what
are you still doing here? You should hurry home! Don't keep Uncle waiting - wouldn't want him blaming us for
keeping you from your precious couple time."
Even though Marianne was older, her cheeks still flushed red at Sarah's teasing. She turned back, pretending to
scold, "You little rascal."

Sarah casually grabbed a cherry tomato from the fruit basket and popped it into her mouth, casually asking,

"Miss Sarah... Melvin hasn't been in a good mood these days. He hasn't been eating much either. If you get a
chance, you should talk to him."
Sarah thought about it for a moment, then asked, "Marianne, do you know why he's upset?"
Marianne didn't hide it from her. "A few days ago, Melvin had a big argument with Madam. | didn't catch exactly
what they were fighting about, but after that day, he's been walking around like a thundercloud ever since."
Sarah gave a small, knowing smile.
"Alright, | get it." She placed her half-eaten tomato on the table, patted Marianne's arm, and promised, "Don't
worry, Marianne. I'll go talk to Melvin and make sure he eats properly these next few days. Hopefully, I'll fatten
him up into a big chubby ball."
Marianne burst out laughing, shaking her head.
"You two cousins really do have the best relationship. I'm honestly a little jealous."
Sarah loved hearing that. She blinked cheekily and replied without a hint of modesty,
"Well, of course!"
